Hi, this old girl is my daily driver and after a bit of a scrape 18 months ago I've put a lot of time into it including a full repaint. It's a very early car an I'm looking for period bits. At the moment I'd like to get hold of a set of 4 genuine Peugeot mud flaps and a stone shield for the front fogs. Some early door mirrors might also be handy. Might be interested in other bits too. Many thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I'll look out for the repro covers. Sambaman, yes have a look at what you have. If there's an indicator stalk a spare would be handy. I've fitted one from a 305 van which is a bit longer but works okay.
Many thanks.

Hi peanutsc, I thought that I had a lot more bits, but a lot of them ended up om my Sambas, I do have the early drivers door mirrior, I think that it was off an xs,as it has the operating arm inside, there are also 2 interior lights, some early switch blanks and an early type ash tray that still folds out properly, also a repair manual, does your 205 have the flat section blade type stalks or the fatter square ones? I have seen early 205' s with two or three different types, some as fitted to the sambas and some as fitted to the citroen visas..I will post pics if you need them........

Hello there, I know what you mean with the stalks - It's got the chunky square ones. The 305 van in the scrap yard was a much later vehicle but with the early stalks. I think the blade ones might have been from about 1985? Odd as my 91 BX is fitted with them yet they'd long gone on the Peugeots by then, replaced by the cylindrical ones...
Interested in the mirror, switches/stalks and the ash tray (permanently out on mine...) What's the manual? I have a few of the Haynes variety but anything factory would be interesting if they even exist? PM any prices etc.

Cheers - it's from the london area as has no sign of rust. Had about 20k on the clock when purchased but now just over 40k. Despite the lay flat engine that's a bit awkward to start when warm, it's been almost trouble free. I like the period beige!

No problem, don't know if you are aware but the very early 205's suffered from a gearbox problem that would end up with no drive to the wheels even though gears could be selected, it's a real easy fix and I bought loads of them in the mid eighties with the problem. There is a splined collar that transfers power from the clutch to the gearbox, the collars had not been hardened properly and the internal splines would wear smooth, hence no drive, it sent loads of 205's to the scrapper when they could have been fixed in a couple of hours, you don't even have to take out the gearbox!.....

Wouldn't mind a set of steel rims from an XS or similar, for another vehicle, preferably with centre caps.

Still after a set of mud flaps if anyone has them. Good second hand are fine. N/s mirror would also be handy but needs to be the early one. Many thanks.
