I had the pleasure of a few nights in France last weekend, which most fortunately for me coincided with this: www.circuit-des-remparts.comIt's a bit like Goodwood revival, but on the street in a French town. Very typically French, but some awesome racing with an amazing backdrop and a HUGE number of classics strewn over the entire city. It was about an hour away from the in-laws house, but well worth the drive. On the way to the circuit we saw... English Lotuses V12 E-type an OSI (?? never heard of them) a funny little red car (again no idea - anyone?) Facel Vega Renault 5s Mercedes 220 Ponton Renault 4 (bad-ass) Some Bentleys

That looks good. The funny little red car is a Berkeley.

Inside the circuit, we saw... BMW E21 silhouette racer pre-war racer prototype racers BMW 6 series Corvette Stingray Talbot Sunbeam Then came the racing!! First up was a pre-war race (couldn't get close enough to make full use of my camera phone ) Then there was a race for what appeared to be single seater 2cv based things Then they wheeled out some classic rally cars, SWB quattro, Renault 5 maxi and 90s Celica. There was also a RWD Datsun of some description, I appear to have failed on the pic front for that though... The 5 was a real crowd pleaser, laying down loads of rubber and taking the long way round the hairpin (video to follow!) A few more pics can be found here: pics

cheers Seth, it certainly was. Thanks for the info, I've been stumped for days, what's it based on?
Also, apologies for the poor picture quality, my phone did it's best... The weather was amazing, wasn't a huge amount of shade and it was in the 30s!

cheers Seth, it certainly was. Thanks for the info, I've been stumped for days, what's it based on? Not based on anything! Built in Biggleswade. Usually had two or three cylinder motorbike engines in. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berkeley_Cars

Angouleme?
Been trying to get to this for a while.
There was a collection of Berkeleys at Goodwood a few years back....amusing little things aren't they!

Little red car is a Berkely, very cool looking little things.
I just read yesterday that the smaller Facels (Facellia, which I think is what is in the picture rather than a Vega) ran the B18 driveline from a Volvo Amazon/P1800 which is pretty cool

Most awesome! When I read "French Street Racing" I had vivid images of 106s with le mousse expansif treatment doing their best attempts at burnouts. I read something somewhere about OSIs recently. I remember it being very interesting, just not where it was or what it said love the look of them though.
