It doesn't say 'Bodge' it says 'Boge'. In fact it doesn't even say that really. Truth be told if that were mine and I was offered anywhere over about £300 I'd take it. The market place is flooded with cheap plates, they're easy to find and buy (even from the DVLA) so unless someone has those initials and the number 8 means something to them it's never going to be worth much. Also if the market says it's worth X amount then the market is either correct or has overpriced it, as is often the case with plates. Sadly people who paid decent money for them originally, or have seen something similar advertised by some spurious plate company, usually assume they're worth thousands and they're not.
If you have had a valuation for it ('market value says it's worth xxx') and it's up for sale then this is really the wrong thread, it should be in the 'parts for sale' section. Stick it up for what YOU think it's worth and if you aren't getting any serious interest then you'll know it's too expensive.

Best to find someone with an Audi A8 and see if they want to buy it, doubt they would want to pay much though. Or contact Boge and see if the CEO wants to buy it.... www.boge.com/uk/

Some good points made above.
I'd probably echo most of them, put it up for sale at a price you think fair and see if it gains any interest. Alot of the trouble with plates is unless you have something amazing or very short then it's all in the eye of the beholder and how someone interperets it.
From a personal point a view (and I'm no expert at all) i'd be very suprised if you made over a few £££ for it to be honest. Trouble is at the moment so many companies are online selling plates that theres a huge range of choice for people, it's not glaringly obvious what yours could mean so possibly wouldn't stand out that much.
Don't mean to put a damper on it, because as Panda states above well worth getting in contact with anyone who may be interested in it but bear in mine that it may be a long haul!

If you have an Audi A8 and the initials OGE, it's worth whatever you can afford.
If you don't, it's worth the transfer free and a few quid. DVLA are still punting out single digit A-plates for under £300.
If I get a car with a prefix plate (or NI plate), then unless it's my or a friend's initials, it's off for the transfer fee (and a CD, or a pint, or a toy) or stays on the car. I gave away C6 RTK 'cause I knew I'd never have a C6 again. Even if it were free.
Don't forget that this plate is unique. It could be priceless.

All number plates are unique !!!!
Take what you are offered, it doesnt jump out at you as a word (unlike the one round here on a Merc C45 STLE) ,IF YOU HAVE TO TELL FOLK WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO READ THEN IT DOESN'T WORK.
