Hi guys,I'm pretty sure most of you have seen this, and as much as i want to sell it,it would break my heart to see it go!! Ive owned it over 10 years (stated 9 years on log book). ,and have totally rebuilt it to a very clean standard at one point..... Now typical rover/old car,it being 21 years old,its gone scabby aroun the edges, and last year i decided to change it into a track car!! Ive done all the work myself, except the paintjob of course!! It had engine rebuild, full stainless, poly bushed, lowered ,mgf type alloys, the list goes on and on!!!! I'm looking for offers around £1250,but due to the current trend in the market,i.e no one has any money, and xmas fast approaching ,then I'm open to swaps, but it has to tick the right boxes for me,and I'm fussy,so don't be offended,if i say no!!! Please no ex-boy racer specs ,such as saxo's corsa's,etc!! I like old skool, fast J,and the very different!!! Here's some pics over the years.............

Last picture there, taken earlier this year, and its currently in that shape, black bonnet, vent, stripped right out, caged!! Have every nut and bolt to put it back to standard, and so many spares, that you could build another car from them!!!

Wow. That is the tidiest Montego I've seen for ages! Did the engine get rebuilt to standard spec? And could the back seats be used cos of the cage?
Great job on the build. Good luck with sale.

Yes, the engine got rebuilt to more or less standard spec, I only turned the boost up on the waste gate.... Last time it ran the rollers, I turned it down by mistake from 12 psi (standard) to 9 psi and it ran 156 bhp at the flywheel(152bhp standard) , so it should produce much more if turned back up and more!!!!! As it stands, it flys any way!!!
It's a road legal track car,the back seats couldn't go back in because of the cross bar, but either can be removed/returned in no time at all!!!
It doesn't need nothing for m.o.t,and I'm more than happy to put a new one on at no extra cost!! Tax is the dreaded £121 for 6, or £220 for 12!!!!
Sorry really don't want an mr2, probably the only Japanese car I don't like!!!!!
It's not as clean as the first picture shows, more the last 2 , but it scabby and bubbling paint work, there is no rot, it's an absolute belter of a shell, and has been fully wax oiled over the years!!!!

Shame my bluebird is sat on my drive with a blown headgasket or else i'd be tempted to offer you that , ca18det engine conversion from a nissan 200sx s13, clean for a bluebird, has had welding in the past and has a scabby drivers wing, tubular manifold into full straight through stainless system, pipercross filter, front mount intercooler with hardpiping ect ect.... Approx 220ish bhp when it was running ok. If it sounds interesting to you let me know, would post pictures here but don't know how.

Been offered a BMW 540 v8 ,and this v6 406!!! As you can imagine,a 2 litre turbo can drink petrol without having twice the size engines , so thanks chaps, but no thanks!!!!
And yes,it can kick some ass,for what it is, but still manage 24-28 mpg on a run!!!
