What is the deal whe it comes to the testing of emissons at MOT time when it comes to imported cars.
Is my 1993 Chevy van subject to the same 'cat' test as any '93 uk car? Or can I chop it out and liberate a small power increase (by god it needs it lol)!
Cheers, Martin

From the information I gathered it was 94/95 where import cars were emission tested to the same level as a 92/93 car here.
I tried to find out more info at the time as I was unsure about my MR2 turbo but most people were just insistent on telling me that its fine its not a Rev3, from that I gathered 93/94

Some days you just need to take a grinder to an inanimate object, just to make your day a tiny bit better!!

hang on, at the beginning of the OP it says chevy van ;D now then, is it actually a van or a mini bus with 8 or more seats? if it is, then chop away the cat as its 3.5% co and 1200hc for the emissions
