I've a couple if daft questions about lowering a mk2 escort. First is, my struts are converted to coilovers, do I screw the springs up or down? Second is, my rear springs are Decambered 1" and I've got 2" blocks fitted but it still isn't very low, my shockies are spax adjustable if there set too hard will that keep it from coming down?
Cheers

Wind the lower spring platforms down by however much you want to lower the front end if you have room, keep an eye up top to make sure you're not getting too close the bump stops or it'll drive like a dog.
The stiff shocks won't make any difference to the ride height on the rear.

If the bump stops on Mk2 Escorts are anything like the Triumph saloons it can pay to modify them so that they are a little softer when they are hit (it does not mean you can drive on the bumpstops mind you ), that's assuming there are no aftermarket lowered bumpstops for them .

If the rear springs are uprated as well as decambered or you have stripped out the interior or you have gas assisted dampers on the back it may well ride high at the back, Escorts are pretty light at the back.
It may have been set with the nose up to get the handling nice, check out old pics of Escort rally cars, they all sit nose up.

Volvo back as my main squeeze, more boost and some interior goodies on the way.
