Hello!
Ive been faffing around on the internet, and read on a forum that a Weber 28/36 has the same bolt spacing as a Nikki carb.
I'm running a nikki at the moment on my mini and its running like wibblepoo so i want to change to a real carburettor i can at least get parts for, so if it actually has the same bolt spacing, i wont have to hang around for years on ebay waiting for a manifold!
Question is, does it actually? need a second opinion before i go and get one.

From what i've gathered the bolt spacing is different, not tried it physicaly myself though so I don't know by how much.
Reason I know is a great long while ago I bought a Nikki carb and manifold set up for a Hillman Imp, which also made that run like wibblepoo funnily enough.
If you are keen though a good machine shop/engineer should be able to alter the bolt spacing on your Nikki manifold.

Thanks for the input! i came up with the clever plan of buying a weber gasket earlier, that way i can offer it up to the manifold. Need to order one then wait for it to arrive.

How about making an adaptor if it does turn out to be different? (By the way, if you did want another Nikki to try cannibalizing to make a good one, you're welcome to have mine for nowt. I got it with a box of other stuff so it doesn't owe me anything.)

The bolt spacing isnt the same, for the record. Bought a gasket and its a bit wider than the nikki.
I'd need a really fat adapter plate, that rules out that idea!
