Hi there,
bought an old Daimler which needs a bit of paintwork, does anyone know anywhere that would mix up paint that I could apply myself with rattle cans. Its a bit of an unusual colour. Thanks, Lewis.

Yes, anywhere that specialises in car paint can do you a celly can any colour......no idea where locally.....I suggest google, car paint/your location.....Its £4 for a 500ml can at my place.......he'll even mix 2k but you have to spray it within 25 mins of it being mixed

Where are you in scotland? automotive paint factors will mix you an aerosol no problem. they cost around £10 - £14 these days I think. I have personaly used Spraystore in Motherwell and Scottpaints in Airdrie. Have a search for automotive paint stores local to you, there is bound to be some

My local paint shop does it for about £12 a tin.

My factors will mix any code into a can for £7 to £14 depending on the compostion of the paint. Ideally use one that will match to the car rather than just the code and get them to make up all you need in one batch if you keep going back for another can you will likely get very slightly different shades.

Due to being caught out on a Sunday, I did go to Halfords for a mixed can. It was quite expensive but covered well and was a surprisingly good match.
Last year I resprayed a plastic bumper from a Focus using celly paint in a can powered spray gun, thinking it would be better and cheaper than cans or getting it done pro. It wasn't. The old boy with a VW restoration shop up the road painted my next bumper for £100... Just saying if you do the prep, a pro job can be quite cheap.
