i know some of you lot on here work will the newer stuff, mechy/fitters etc. so i thought id ask. ive been offered a 52 plate facelift berlingo van as a p/x on car I'm selling, that has the fault of jumping out of third. whats gunna be the most likely cause? sticky/crappy linkages that are eaily fixed, or run a lie cos the box is gunna curse word out very soon?
your thoughts gentlemen........

Unless PX value is a little more than scrap I'd walk away as I bet it'd need a gearbox change to sort out. Doubt it's a linkage problem. If just "adjustment" then why hasn't the current owner sorted it out before Paul H

My friend has the Pug equivalent and is on his third new gear linkage for similar problems. Avoid...they're poop!!!

Synchro hub goosed normally caused by worn linkeage .
