My Capri doesn't have a bumper on the front, so the indicators are currently slotted into the fibreglass front. I don't want to cut the fibreglass, and want it to look "proper" which wedging them in isn't So what I'm thinking is when i upgrade to H4 headlamps, have the inner 2 fitted with sidelights and the outer 2 fitted with Orange super bright LED indicator bulbs, so they should be visible over the headlights. What I'm wondering is if this has been done before with good results, or if i should just have a go with the fibreglass and fit the existing ones? James.

Too many projects, not enough time.

How about fitting a pair of 7" angel-eyes and swapping the LEDs in those for orange ones? I think I've seen bikes fitted with them with different colour rings (blue, pink, etc), so orange might already be available somewhere.

You may find that once you've got the dipped beams on, unless the indicators are an equal brightness (50w+) they won't be visible
Not sure how the bulbs are made that you'll be using, but if the backs are either metal or plastic, it would be easy enough to cut another hole, and add a normal orange indicator bulb to it.
So the outers would be just the dipped, and the inners would be sides, indicators, and mains
Also means they'll have no reason to fail it come MOT time (as LEDs aren't E-marked)

i'd be inclined to fit them on the inner lights as well, as its unlikely you'll have the main beam on whilst indicating anyway ;D as for e marks on the mot, what choo talking bout?

If they get anal - they can fail them for having LED indicators in place of OE ones

Please keep them out of the headlights that is my main bugbear with modern cars you cant see the indicators clearly. A nice seperate lens all the way for me I'm afraid.

Some moderns (saw it on a jag i think) switch off the headlight on the side that's indicating.

Some moderns (saw it on a jag I think) switch off the headlight on the side that's indicating. That is just barking why do that rather than designing the car properly so that the indicators are clearly visible in the first place! Seems like an over complication to me.

The Audi DRLs dim on the indicating side too...makes it look like it's winking.
I'd fit an amber led strip in each side of the grill, no danger of risking water ingress into the headlights then.

You can sort that out with a resistor though
