Well, after owning several BMW's in my past (and two rather rough E30's which I never really drove) I decided that when a van destroyed my MX-5, I would treat myself to a better 3 series. She's only a 318 manual with around 140k on the clock, but having had a few 6 cylinder cars in the past, I'm not too worried this time around about beating any lap records etc. She's not a main car for me so will be mostly for summer cruising. It's not quite as good as the pics make it look as it has a bit of sill rust one side and a few marks here and there, but overall it's not too bad (no seat bolster wear which was nice). It will need a new roof though (not quite as easy to put up and down as the MX-5 huh? ;p ) No real plans as such for the old girl, but I have a few bits on the way to tart her up (new blower motor, mudflaps, interior mats, new badges etc) so mod wise I will probably be sticking to a bit of a drop, a new steering wheel and add a rear bootlid spoiler which I have in the shed.I thought I may also need a new exhaust as it was making horrid noises, but it turned out to be a loose nut! Will probably get a new back box though. Am also going to get my friend who does detailing to give her a going over (Based in Medway btw if anyone was ever interested in getting theirs done) Will update more later.. How my Eunos looked before and after..

A few of my other old rides.. E28 dog leg manual M535i.Lovely old machine that enjoyed going sideways which I owned in the early 90's.I wonder if she is still going.. Fancied something different just after we purchased our first house, so picked up this E21 323 manual. It was approx 20ish years ago now when I had this and I still miss it.. 328 coupe manual.Got this when it was only around 3 years old.Great car. Also had a 3.0 manual E34 in black which was about 6 years old when I purchased. No pics of that one though sadly.

Not sure on waxes etc, I lost track of what went on it but as I say, there were some fairly expensive bottles of 3M gear knocking about along with numerous other things.
As for how he did it, the simple answer is some bloody hard graft with hand and machine! I also saved a bit of money as I didn't want anything done to the roof as I will be changing it soon, so it may come in a tad over the 150 nuggets I paid.Still a bargain though if you ask me.
I will gladly PM anyone his details if you fancy having the same done at some point and yes b7, I am sure he would love to get hold of your 530 as black is one of those colours which really looks good.

Dark cars are certainly where a good detailer can show his talent Looks a good solid finish on that iv had a simular results on German paint Which is very tough to work on does take some serious work if not using a good or specific polish. 2003 Audi estate of some sort i forgot now! 1989 BMW 518i never been loved before 2002 VW Polo

If i'd painted mine orange, it'd just need a Jaffa sticker to be a promotion vehicle.. I'd love to get mine anywhere near that, not a hope though.
Lovely motor too, i'll own an E30 one day, more than happy for it to be a cab they're so well converted, nice to know there are still some in such good nick.
