I've always quite fancied one, did seriously look into buying one about 6 years ago (brought a corrado instead  ). They work best (IMHO) following the simple rules, drop + rims, the shape is good from the factory. |

For some reason I always thought they had the 1.3 from the Micra, but no, they came with a 1.6 and 2.0 which put out 150bhp... I would imagine they probably go better than I expected too.

I think (from memory) that they are basicly a nissan sunny under the skin. Pretty sure all the UK ones came with only the 1600 though (carb'd then later injected)

Nope there not swift, I had one it was wowful, I swapped an E30 5 door for one when I needed something with tax and test.
Chassis is weak to say the least, seats are uncomfy, no room in the back.
Buy an MR2 NA they go for the same money ish and the MR2 is much better in every aspect.
Mind I will say the Nissan did 30+ miles with no water at all with out breaking down when we was weighing it in.

Wasn't aware that import ones came with an SR very interesting! |

I think they could be cool in a "that's a leftfield choice for a 90s coupe to modify". They are immensely ugly though, that front end has no redeeming features and the side profile is horrible.

But to add to unloved 90s coupes that could be cool, i've always liked the Hyundai Scoupe.  My ex girlfriends dad used to have one pretty much identical to this when I was in high school, 3 spokes an'all   curse word shop but shows potential   Or a Proton Putra   Matt |

I did see years back a NX that was having the bumper/headlight from a teg R grafted on which worked surpringly well
