Basically I'm wanting to do the opposite of everyone else..turn a manual into an Auto.
Anyone got bits or/all the stuff I need? Even a scrap box will come in handy for first mockup...

I will have one as soon as I find a manual box,
I am guessing you have a manual , some kind of deal to be had here ?

these have a control box to operate some of the functions (lock-up and overdrive I believe) so you need that and some harness with it. I have a couple of engines and autoboxes here that I keep thinking would make great little power units for some cars. Turbos work well on autos!. I may put one in a pickup truck.

Yep - been doing some more research and the control unit and also some sensor on the speedo which feeds it. I note there's an overdrive switch - I assume it just enables/disables the lockup (and hence the control box does or doesn't bring in the lockup)?
Odd - I thought there would be loads of these boxes lying around as everyone converts them to manual....
