my Trekker will be completed in "roughly" 6 weeks, currently it is sat on cruddy steels I don't want to be in a position where its done and I don't have a wheel choice its been refurbed prior to me owning on 4x130 which i'm led to believe is beetle fitment ? (serious lack of knowledge on aircooled) so whats out there to suit a soon to be slammed trekker in nato green thanks for any help

I like a four stud BRM. Centerlinish could work too. Not very unique or imaginative I know, but some things do just work.

Need to know what size youre looking at and what look youre aiming for. 4x130 is std '67 onwards bug, a Trekker is just a bug in wellies!!

seen centrelines and the brm's, they seem very popular
as for what size, you've lost me. I thought the 4x130 would be enough sorry. look wise its ratty and slammed. hopefully with some cool wheels

4x130 is just the number and diameter of the mounting bolt holes.
Lots of wheels look good on a 181, Fuchs, Empis 5 spokes, Starmags, Banded steels, Slot mags......
Best to use google image and see what tickles your taste buds.

You'd need 5x120 adaptors to run them. Worth it though! Volkszone and the samba are worth checking out, if you havent already.. www.volkszone.com/VZi/www.thesamba.com/vw/don't forget to post pics when youve got the cool wheels on! ;-)

Turbovec's work very well on a trekker.

I always liked the somewhat controversial Radar Iron Cross's! They would certainly make a statement on a Trekker

It's worth a look on www.midlandwheels.com/. Not exactly the most credible source in VW land, but you'll be able to find a set of shiny wheels that'll bolt straight on. I'd be tempted to get a set of wheels banded, I think.

Just make sure they're strong enough for road use, not lightweight drag wheels.
