Hi, I am looking for some advice please on trying to stop interference through my car stereo system since upgrade.
I have recently fitted new component speakers in the front and rear of my Reanault 19 16v cabriolet comprising of 4 x 5.25 speakers with tweeters, 2 in the front doors and 2 in the rear quarters. I have fitted these with a 300w 4 channel amp.
Since fitting them I have very bad interference and I can hear the noise of the distributor and static through the tweeters .
Things I have checked;
All earths (down to bare metal and tight, engine bay and inside car)
Supressor is fitted to the coil but I don't know if it is working?
All wires are seperated through the car from the battery and ground
Before I fitted the amp and just had the components powered from my head unit they were fine (no interference at all) but as soon as I fitted the amp the interference started.
I had a watch of this video and I did what it says and when I unplugged the RCA's like it says and the noise goes away.
Are there any techniques I could possibly try to get rid of the noise before I remove the amp from the car.
Please feel free to ask any questions and i'll try to answer them best I can. Your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
