I have a milion pics of my car but most are with my cheap camera , and the ones taken with propper cameras and skill are old and not in the cars current/improved guise.
The end result i was aiming for was to get it in a mag as this is obviously the best was to document a nice portfolio. I have been waiting to get the car up to a good enough standard for this, but i now see its unlikely as i just don't have the time or money and standards are getting higher.
What i would like is a few nice pics, with a light edit on the not so nice bits, i can then hang it on my wall and carry on with life.
Who does this sort of thing? what does it cost? i think a studio would be best.

I can do this for you but i live in Brighton. Amongst other photography things I do photoshoots for a record label, doing press shot photos for artists on the label, just a few shots which they use to give to magazines etc. it would be the same for you only with a car and not a person. If you wanted it in a studio it would be plus the cost of studio hire (which would be the most expensive part in the end).
I wouldnt charge much for something like this, just a one off casual thing something like £50 if you just wanted a small amount of edited photos with some extra lighting to make it look a bit special.
to be honest, you could find someone to do this for you anywhere, just be aware though, there are a lot of people with good (or good enough) cameras and bad/naive editing and photography skills. you could quite easily end up with a bunch of poor photos by a bloke with a website, calling himself "matey someone photography" who takes photos and charges people for the pleasure. theres a lot of rubbish floating around.
I'm not that brilliant at it, but i know what not to do at least.

You could try to find a local photography club and offer them your car practical session on the proviso that they let you have some images/prints. Or even the local college that has an A level photography course.
The other thing to do is have a collection of images from magazines or the web of the type of shots you want.
Depending where you are in Buck's I might be able to do something for you as it would be good for a portfolio.

Thanks a lot guys. £50 sounds more than fair, though brighton is a fair trek, edit so is bristol but i wont rule them out. The studio thing is not essential, you photo guys know best. Sorry I didnt put location/car details. I'm in milton keynes and this is the car ![](http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6913/181aae16b32c11e1ab01123.jpg) ![](http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/8646/q32a.jpg) I have no idea what sort of pics I want, I like the dark moody black shine ones but brochure style would be cool again I'm sure the artists know best..

Well, I can't vouch for Butterz but I wouldn't want anything to do a shoot, if you didn't want to rule Bristol out ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I've been meaning to message you about getting some shots for a while to feature on Status Error, I'm in MK all of the time and don't charge, although I'm not as good as many on here I can pull out a decent shot on occasion.
