wiring in a cd player from scratch as I have no loom in the car.
all is fine and I have it working , except I want it to go on and off with the ignition.
easy answer is to connect it to the ignition switch as I have in the past but I cant get to the back of it and don't think I'll be able to remove the ignition switch without damaging it. cross threaded and appears to be wrapped in tape (previous owners wiring skills were apparently worse than mine)
Where else can I run the ign wire to?
The coil comes live with the ignition so could I use that safely or does it provide to much juice? it has an extra tab to connect straight onto. Will that cause interference and power drain?
I can easily run a permanent live, but I can see that causing me lots of dead battery issues.
Thanks
