looking at some banded steelies for my corsa, should get getting them on friday fingers crossed. fronts are 8j rears are 9j
any advice on what tyres to run, and weather spacers will be needed.
will be putting my coilovers on with them and i've bought some m10 washers to camber the rear.
so any general advice, tips ect.. on doing this would be much appreciated

You'll almost definitely not need spacers - banded steels add all the extra on the outside and corsas run mega inset wheels to start with so almost anything will clear the inside.
Don't use washers to add camber unless you are really stupid or really 100% understand the physics of the joint you are interfering with. There are better ways (Steel camber shims etc). Yeah, people have got away with it but it's really not a good plan and it's a curse word way of gaining clearance as well as being about 3 years behind in the cool kids euro look fashion.
As for tyres, stick the wheels on the car and let it off the jack with some bits of wood under the rims to support it and measure the space you've got and work them out from there. I don't like to try and do plugs but click the link in my sig and play around with the tyre sizes and it'll give you a bit of an insight as to how things fall.
Not sure on your wheel size but assuming 15s, 195/45/15 on the 9s and 175/50/15 on the 8s are stretched about as tight as I would be happy saying "that's ok" about.
