So I've been looking for a set of Ford PCD wheels for my KP36 Toyota for a long time. This is my KP36:
I found a set of Ford/Ronal Capri Ghia wheels on the German ebay which I bought as the price was good. They are painted in red and white, which looks curse word but nothing that can't be fixed.
Shortly after winning the auction I realised that these wheels have flat seat nuts, not tapered like my original steels have. I do not know of any wobblenuts available for this type...
Now I'm wondering if its even possible to fit these wheels to my car. Would be a shame if they can't be fitted, as they look really good on it and the offset is perfect.
At first I thought that it might be possible to just use the right size spigot rings and just bolt them down with flat seat nuts without the shank. This seems a bit tricky though, and I want it to be as safe as possible. To add to the problem, I found that using spigot rings on the back wheels wouldn't do anything as the hub is flat.
[
The 4x110 on Toyota's is actually more like 4x109,x so the difference in PCD is not that big. Maybe its possible to just use the Ronal nuts with shank, or have them machined down a little bit to make up for the difference in PCD?
(Wheel is not centered here, just hold it on with one hand for the picture)
Has anyone had this problem before?
I'd like to hear your opinions on this!
