...so, now that I'm working again, I thought I should invest in a new project. Initially I was thinking about a Rover 75 with lots of slam and lots of stance (and to be frank, those thoughts haven't gone away just yet) but then, well, then eBay happened. I should be more sensible. I have nowhere to keep it, it'll probably ruin me financially and, well, it's a bit of a shed. Still, it's taxed, MOTd and it came in at a mere £900. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce you all to my '73 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. A full 350 cubic inches of noise, weld and slot mags... Rusty. Painted with a brush. No trim to speak of. A dash made by Stevie Wonder. A few questionable leaks. Lots of noise. No terminal rot though, but lots of welded bits. It's a heap... ...cool though, ain't it? I pick it up on Tuesday. Expect a post detailing how it broke down on its return journey. Chris

How's the, errm, transmission?
That is awesome. I really hoped you aren't plagued by The Pollitt Factor with this. I didn't realise when this popped up on Facebook that you'd bought it ;D Can I have a ride?

I've just looked again. That interior looks like it will eat your babies. I love it.

Thanks guys.
It's a bit of a heap and it has LOTS of niggles, the main one being a *slight* cooling issue, though I'm pretty confident the 'stat is to blame, so an easy fix.
The plans are to panel out the interior, give it a better lick of paint (not hard, I've seen smoother gravel) and then just roll it. Maybe some personal aesthetic touches too.
It's been loved of late, much like the $400 worth of Summit Racing parts (seen the invoice and seen the parts on the front clip) suggest.
It's a ratter, but it's also a bit of fun.

"....it was a fifty fifty shot on wheter you'd be going left or right. You see we're both going left. You could have just as easily been going left, too. And if that was the case... It would have been a while before you started getting scared. But since you're going the other way, I'm afraid you're gonna have to start getting scared... immediately!"You NEED one of ^those^ jackets! Great purchase Dude. A million lunatic points on top of a billion hero points. Love it and can't wait to see it (I'm assuming you're off work on Tuesday )

Bruce, my old fruit, I may need a lift to get it... I'll pay for fuel of course. Chris

^^ HAHAHAHA ^^ That's awesome, I was only watching Drive (again) last night! I want to mount that gif in a frame and have it running permanently on my wall.
Lift not a problem, does this mean I get to have shotgun at some point? I dearly hope the passenger seat is made of steel and enclosed in a lexan cabin?

I'd like to get a sticker made for the car, but alas, I have no idea where to start. As for the lift, I'm afraid you can't have shotgun - I'll just let you have a drive. Lexan case is on the cards for the July playday, right? "Hey, Bruce, remember when I said this car was death proof? Well, that wasn't a lie. This car is 100% death proof. Only to get the benefit of it, honey, you REALLY need to be sitting in my seat."Chris
