It looks very nice! Have you spoken to the owner? I'd say do it, if it goes for 400 notes its gotta be worth it.

At £400 it's not a problem to drop a blind bid on it IMO.
You'll make that back no trouble even if it turns out to be as rusty as fisherman's bucket by chopping it up.

I'd give Don a ring! I bought my Camry unseen despite it having done 185k miles and it was a cracking buy. You can get to chat with the guy who owned it and you'll get a feeling as to whether or not it's genuine. Ask some direct questions about faults, phrased in such a way that he has to give you a decent answer.
It always reassures me when I see that the person selling is someone who's had it a while, not just some dodgy p/x internet dealer.

I reckon that will make more than £400!
Interior could do with a scrub though.

Been there, done that, been happy with the results. I'd say go for it As everyone else says, you could no doubt make it back provided it's not a proper wreck - which it doesn't appear to be, at first glance

Done it several times and ive got a bloody good car out of it every time. At the end of the day if the seller says its not rusty and you buy it and go pick it up and find its a heap of iron oxide your well within your rights to tell him to foxtrot oscar and keep your money.

its a lottery, but if the car is not as described (and "spotless" is shooting himself in the foot, cos if you get that and don't want it, you WILL be able to find a mark on it somewhere!) then you can just walk away.
£400 is a lot of money for an ordinary sierra though even a clean one, a GT is only a rebadged LX with some trim changes, nothing sporty about it.
They are still cheap enough that you could get a 4x4 or a 2000e with leather for that money if you hunted around.

I sold my last 2.0 GLSi for about £120 though it wasn't as nice as that. If it's genuinely rust free and hasn't got head gasket problems it looks a good buy.
My mini came from ebay and that was OK, apart from the rust and the engine that went bang.
