Hi guys, trying to get my new caddy up to scratch, it's a burgundy colour and time has left few scratches, sun fade etc. rust wise its not too bad. rather than getting a respray I'm thinking of getting it compounded. Anyone had experience with this technique?
I'm in Leicester so will try and get some quotes from paint shops.

if its faded you may have a problem. If its clear on base and the base has lost its colour you'll not polish that back. The GM paint of the 1980s was an acrylic which does go flat with age. Its possible, if not very likely yours has been repainted since then. If RP are offering to take a look I'd run it in there for a prognosis.
