For flaps I get mine from Bravado Automotive. They advertise in Custom Car and PC I think. Google can't find a website but I've found their phone number as: 01932 858248  |

can anyone tell me how these work??
I'm interested in getting a set for 12"x6" mini alloys and am intrigued to see if they would look good, but how do they stick to the tyre??
surely if u just slid them under the rim they wouldnt sit flush with the tyre??

They do slip down between rim and tyre. Basically you need to deflate the tyre, push them in evenly all round and then reinflate. You do need tyres that fit the wheels properly. Too narrow/stretched and they'd stick out, too wide and they wouldn't last long as they'd get flexed too far out at the bottom.
I've always got mine direct from Bravado as they're cheaper than elsewhere.

I remember when i bought my first set in about 1988 they told me not to use them with low profiles, i've always used them on 70 series tyres. As far as i know they are only available in one size. You can get whitewall tyre paint, but its sh7t so don't bother with that. Also you could try Bay area hot rods they take an ordinary tyre, skim the side wall and fit them in the tyre. I've seen them, they are good and not too expensive. They can do different widths and colours. They have a web address but i don't know what it is. |

the hillman imp looks amazing!!!!!! how long have you had them on and do they last? i've had them on a few months now ,providing you look after them they should last a while.be careful that you don't kerb them or they tear and make sure they are lubed up or else they can erode the sidewall as the rings stay still as the sidewall flexs,they rub together and could cause probs |
