Pretty much complete. The only things i don't have are:
The pipe from turbo to throttle body (fit an intercooler instead?) Working turbo (Fit a t25 for a handy boost to power) Turbo outlet elbow MAF Front joint of prop/ yoke
But it does come with more than enough loom, relays, ecu and all ancilleries to make it work. Theres an auto box complete with shifter. All came from a working S12.
Reason for looking to move it on is I'm tempted by whacking a diesel engine in the wagon for cruising around in as once done it will be used a lot.

yes do the diesel. it's what i should have done with mine instead of selling it oh. and the ca18et isn't worth much as it's auto. the manual gearbox is the bit thats worth something. if it was complete and a known engine that could be shown running with history, you'd be lucky to get £150. personally i'd weigh it all in, in seperate piles of; wiring, alloy refines, and iron. there is a s12 forum that may be worth a try?

This is the reason why I'm asking as theres a few possibilities, currently in stock I have the following L18 and manual box in the wagon (bit leaky ATM, will be fixed for MOT then removed for the upgrade so in effect this will be sorted and sold on later) BMW 318i with manual box, ripped out of the E46 touring I had (plans were to shoehorn this into the standard, mainly because it cost me nothing but the couple of hours to remove) CA18ET and autobox, intended for wagon (but its not really "daily driver" me TBH) So I could get shot of the BMW engine and box for a decent amount and get myself sorted with a dizzle, potentially leaving me some time to collect the bits to convert the CA18 to manual to go in the standard, or get rid of all of them, get a dizzle for the wagon and worry about the standard later. However if theres an engine sat here for the standard i'd be more inclined to make it fit and get it sorted than leave it as it is (engine-less, in bits, under a cover )

I like the bmw engines. and they have a front drop sump which would suit the datsun, also a nice short gearbox.
there arn't many nissan diesel engines that would fit the datsun easily. i've got a td27t and five speed box in the garage if your interested? doubt i'll use it now.
edit. oh hang on. e46? dunno if thats the same as e30/e36?

I actually know very little about nissan engines, so unless its filling all the criteria, fairly straight forward to slot in and parts are easy to get i'd be keeping my options open. I'm slightly tempted by the XUD engine in for sale section. I loved the BMW engine in the E46 and got good MPG and went quite well. But it doesn't seem to gain me much for the effort of doing the swap (105hp vs 118hp*)

the only diesel engine that will slot in fairly easy is a ld20 from a fwd bluebird. seen a few complete cars on ebay sell cheap but they always seam to be up north.
the ld20 is a 2 litre four cylinder ohc diesel and is basicly a diesel engine of what you have currently fitted. will bolt up to your gearbox and the sump/engine mounts will swap over. except possibly the r/h side due to the injection pump, but that should be easy enough to sort. even the exhaust will swap over.
i've converted my straight six petrol ohc to the straight six diesel version. read my build thread for details.
i reckon the 4 cylinder will be pretty much the same.
