my m8`s looking to renew the timing chain, sprockets etc on his 2.9 12 valve engine... any one know who would do these parts cheers davy

Are they not fibre cogs on the v6? nope not on the 2.9 that runs a chain and cast iron sprockets . my m8`s looking to renew the timing chain, sprockets etc on his 2.9 12 valve engine... any one know who would do these parts cheers davy you should be able to order it through ford themselves if they still list the part i got one for one of mine a few years ago when i stripped a keyway and damaged the sprocket . if not maybe burton power for a pair of steel adjustable ones will be a fair bit more money than stock ones though |

thanks m8, it`s for helena`s crayford, bob has tried ford and burton but had no joy.
you will probs get an email from bob as before i left him he was wondering who to ask and your name was the one that he thought of first lol cheers davy

Ahh yes,its the 2.3 that has the fibre cog. yeah all the siamease ported colognes and early US versions have the fibre cam gear . 2.4. 2.9 and ohv4.0s have a chain thanks m8, it`s for helena`s crayford, bob has tried ford and burton but had no joy. you will probs get an email from bob as before I left him he was wondering who to ask and your name was the one that he thought of first lol cheers davy i'll have a look to see if i have any timing chains and gears in my spares but don't think i have any 2.9 bits anymore . think if you cant get the gear new may be worth looking at getting a spares engine to butcher for the parts needed |

cheers m8, ye getting a spare engine might be an option but knowing bob, he`d rather fit new parts, if he can get them.
that`s 12 years he has had the 2.9 fitted and this is the first hic up they have had with it
