I wanted to get a value for this car, please.
I bought it off here for £1200 last year, but sadly it has just failed it's MOT for rusty sills, for starters. Being a 'friendly' MOT guy, he didn't start logging it on the system, but he stopped the test as soon as he saw the level of rust. I'm pretty certain the standard E34 sloppy wiper issue may be a problem too on the passenger side but it clears well enough to see, could be passed by someone lenient.
I'm no welder and to me I don't love the car enough to pay to get it fixed.
It's basically got 4 new tyres worth £400 on it on M5 Throwing Stars including a 5th wheel. The spare has a knackered tyre and a bit of a ding, and one wheel has some kerbing.
I was hoping to sell the wheels and tyres for £500 with free car attached.
The car has about 85,000 miles lowered/stiffer shocks and springs, HIDs, upgraded calipers from the E32 7 series with drilled and grooved discs, decent leather interior, Alpine head unit with iPod cable, M5 bodykit (probably the reason for the rust on the sills!), tinted windows, M Tech steering wheel, eyebrow spoiler thing, strut brace, induction kit, stainless back box.
The car drives really nicely, good brakes, you can cruise along at stupid speeds and it's no bother. Hustles far too well along B roads for a car of its size, destroys A roads, and will sit at 120-130 all day long on the motorway. Comfortable and roomy.
If you can weld and maybe bodge a job on the wiper then it's good to go again.
I am guessing it's worth more broken, but I don't have the time at all to do this.
Would £500 me a reasonable cost for this car?
