With a heavy heart and a new car arriving this week I have decided to sell the camper. We hardly used it last year and so I think it is time for him to move on. I bought this off ebay 4 years ago after my wife and I decided it would be fun to drive to Bulgaria, over the Alps!

New brake flexi
New laminated windscreen
Recent coolant flush and refill.
Spares
Come with spare front disks and pads (ones I took off when there was a brake issue which turned out to be brake flexi)
brake caliper
front indicator unit (after I broke one because I couldn't get it off and was in the middle of Romania with no front indicator.)
Toughened windscreen.
Mechanically
In perfect order, starts everytime first time sounds like new. Fully serviced and ready to go.
Interior.
I stripped out the interior and refitted it with new units, flooring, bed and storage framework, foam and coverings (not cheap!)
There is running water and gas cooker and grill. We used a portable 3 way fridge rather than building one in which is available seperatley.
I also fitted a new stereo headunit, amp and subwoofer. Not fantastic, but a damn sight better than the original single speaker and radio.
The bed is pretty big and it is bloody comfortable.
Body work
Overall the exterior is in great shape, it looks smart and polishes up well. There are one or two areas which have seen paint in the past but this doesnt ditract from the overall appearance. There are one or two minor areas that you need to keep on top of like any 20 year old japanese vehicle but you wont find much better.
Underneath.
I had some welding done to the seat bases and at the front underneath when I first got it. Now whilst neither of these were MOT failures I knew I was keeping it and wanted it right. The underside is in fantastic condition, chasis hasn't been touched and there is zero rust. This van was waxolyed underneath and cavity waxed from new and it shows.
My history with the van
Ok so a little more about the van. As I said I bought this to travel accross Europe in in May 2008. After a full referb, and service and only 100 miles or so under our belts we set off fully loaded. In 3 weeks we had travelled across Europe to Bulgaria and back, a total of 4500k miles and 13 countries and this van did not miss a beat. It is incredibly relaiable. It has started on the button every day, travelled over the alps fully loaded, been stuck in traffic jams in Romania in 100+ degrees heat, through some of the most awful roads in Bulgaria and behaved perfectly every day!
Then in 2010 we took the van down to Italy and again travelled 4k miles in 3 weeks without a single incident. I have total faith in this van and with the mileage it has done would be very happy to drive it accross Europe again tomorrow.
Drving experience
Well it is a van and not a fast one although the 1.5 petrol engine is willing and it easily keeps up with modern traffic. It will cruise at 60 happily and return around 30mpg when fully loaded. It was fun going up the Alps and a little slow but very steady. The strange thing is it is really calming to drive, comfortable, pretty quiet and I must say we didnt suffer any back problems or other discomfort even after 18 hour driving days.
History
I have all receipts old MOTS and TAX discs from my ownership only. I bought it from a friend of the owner who had sadly passed away and I didnt get any history with it. However, I personally gaurantee the mileage is correct (if you find out otherwise I will give you your money back) You can just tell it hasn't done many miles, if you lift the oil filler cap it looks brand new, engine purrs perfectly, the rear tyres were date stamped 1991 with loads of tread but cracking side walls. You just know when a vehicle is honest. The only piece of evidence I have is an old insuarance certificate dated 2002 showing a mileage of 22k.
Foibles
They all have them! When water runs out in the sink it needs syphoning back through. A submersible pump would solve this I imagine but it never bother me much to change it. I have got a suction pump I bought to do this but not tried it yet. Also when very hot there is slight clutch judder. Again this is not an issue and it was really only noticeable in Romania when the temperature topped 100 degrees and we had been driving all day, but best to be honest about these things.
Oh and gears are a little stiff when cold, no crunching or other awkwardness and my friendly local mechanic reckons it is just through lack of use. Never and issue and once warm after 5 miles is perfect.
This vehicle owes me 2.5k I don't believe you will find one more reliable which needs absolutely no mechical work at all. Go and find one with this mileage and proven history of reliabiltiy. We will be gutted to see it go!
Onto images, if you want any more please ask.
