Those old 5s are lovely, IMO they look better without being dumped on their , e.g. the blue and yellow ones above, although the pov spec white one suits it rather well! tres bon monsieur!

Ah yes I remember them well (heavy french accent) back in the early 90's they were the bane of every midsized ford owner, nothing with that small an engine should be that fast ! we spent hours tuning our lardy fat lumps of dagenham iron just to be blown away by a bloody Ren5 god I hated them that grew into respect as I stopped trying to race the liittle beggers and grew up/got a family ect/ignored them ;D A bloke up the road has 3 or 4 in his garden, I often walk past and snarl at them (scarred for life you see)

Great car's until they go wrong. I was forever chasing problems with mine when I had it..... Also, coincidently, I spotted this on my Facebook wall earlier: Clicky. EDIT: Beaten to it, teach me for answering phone calls mid-post!

What I am getting from this thread is what a wide selection of wheel designs suit the Renault

I will get round to finishing it at some point

I'm really loving these, especially the ATS cups. Must add one to the list...

I remember 15 years ago, I had a R5 campus.
It had no power, no handling, but man was it fun on the tight country lanes that surround where I live, I've always wanted a go in a turbo

I work with a guy call Jim who has owned 32 R5 GTT (he's never owned a non-turbo one lol) he's truely addicted. I've always love the Skeete Motorsport body kit, three spokes are not an option, they are a prerequisite!

Sierra - here we go again! He has an illness, it's not his fault.

That one please* *Minus the roof rackAgreed, but with the roof rack for me Unfortunately, when I think of Renault 5's I think of this to begin with: The two from Ali G But then I remember the greatness of some Renault 5's and I'm happy again:

The later ones are growing on me, but I much prefer the poverty spec variants than the later GT Turbo. It's all about the Mk1 for me though - and even earlier.....
