Hi Peeps
Well thought it was time for another post. Now I finally have some decent pictures I want to show you all my Dads MGB that I restored/modded for him couple years back. It started off looking average, covered in micro blisters, rust scabs here and there and awful chrome sill covers, the list goes on but i wont bore you with all that. It was looking you know just tired! So I decieded I would do it up for him seeing as he was doing some stuff to my house.
Once stripped out I quickly realised it wasnt quite as good as we first thought. It was full of filler, cover sills tacked on over basically nothing. So I changed the sills, inner, outer and castle sections, door skins, wing bottoms, new bonnet and boot and repaired the bulkhead I'm sure theres more but I cant remember any more now.
Dad said at the start that he didnt want it original, so we ditched the side chrome mouldings and bumpers. He bought sebring front and rear valances which I flushed in. I got the doors to fit properly so when you look down it, the doors don't stick out.
As for the inside he got new seats, door cards and carpet and that. We both agreed we hated the crinkle dash so i painted that a satin grey which i personally thing looks great. You might notice the roll bars they are unique to this car.
Well now you know a bit a bout it please check the pictures out which my mate took, his quite the whizz with a camera. please feel free to give me your thoughts
