	For the last few years I've ventured to Brooklands in January for the VSCC winter trials. pre war cars compete against the clock in a series of tests scattered around the old 1907 oval track site. The test hill and the banking are well used. Skinny tyres and wire wheels were the order of the day starting with this amazing 1919 Grafton Cyclecar. a whole 250cc and no reverse! Top of the members bridge was the perfect place to get some top down views. Everywhere you looked cars were buzzing around. ;D

	The cones in the paddock offered a mind boggling series of gates to pass through and points to rotate around. I love all the little details on these motors, open to the elements. I went with a mate who works for BMW, he was smitten with this.

	I never tire of this view. During the lunch break we had a look at the non competing cars that were parked in front of the club house. Following lunch it was back up to the banking. Like buses, you wait all day for a Morgan three wheeler and three turn up at once. Plotting the route ;D

	And that was it, really good day out but really cold. To warm us up we paid a visit to the recently relocated Chobham bus museum. Having lost its old site the trust that runs the museum found a new home at Brooklands.

	Lovely photos! Its always a good trip down to Brooklands. The best time I went was an AC cars meet, doing time trials on the same patch. Quite possibly the best noises I have heard from any amount of cars!

	I think Austin/Morris day is on a date I can do this year and I've not been for quite a while so will be good to get back there. Nice photos as ever. I believe that the cycle car at the top is actually a new build - obviously using old bits.

	The Morris and Austin day is on the 11th of March www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/morris-and-austin-day1/ I was hoping to have everything altogether then, now I'm an Austin owner, but it's not to be. It would have been my first trip to Brooklands too, something I really must do especially now I've seen Speedman's pics above.

	Amazing photos. I love the cycle car! It seems to be cable steered, which looks terrifying. Locating the front axle on quarter-elliptical springs is interesting too. Not to mention the wooden chassis and body! Nice.

	It was best described as rickety! Really struggled coming up the 1:5 testhill well, but I guess the driver tripled the weight of the whole lot when he got in. Cheers for the comments, its definitely worth a trip over for it, £10 to get in and you have the whole museum to look round as well. Just wrap up warm it was stupidly cold there as the wind whistles though the site.

	Thanks once again for you excellent vintage trials report and pics. ;D I absolutely love seeing these old cars out and about and getting used like this. And Brooklands is an excellent setting for them too. You're right about the details on them, there is just so much awesome and interesting fabrication and engineering on those old cars. Big thumbs up from me
