Looks clean for an old mini. Well worth beer tokens at the very least surely?

That's what I'm thinking. My mate claims all the bits are there and the interior (currently in his house) is the best thing about the car.

Well, the new doors on it are worth about ÂŁ300 on their own, so I would say so. It does need a fair bit more welding by the looks of it, but even without the doors, that would shift for ÂŁ2-300 easy on ebay

It's just the sheer amount of welding that's giving me the willies...

Looks like it could be saved. From the lack of a clutch pedal and the obvious shifter, it's an Auto. Which I'm led to believe are incredibly bloody rare on a mini!

Buy a welder & learn to weld and then tackle one area at a time. Then buy a Haynes manual for the greasy bits - the best way to learn by far!

the floors look solid, the new doors and front end will save you a lot of work. A bit of welding on the back end, put it back together and you're done, lol I'd be inclined to bin the auto box though, it's a 4 speed and can be a bit busy

If you're after a project to learn all about how to do car jobs, I'd say that's a good start. It looks to have a good amount of the parts needed and the welding areas don't look as bad as some Minis I've seen saved before. If you're short on cash you just have to take more time, pool the resources you do have and beg and borrow to stuff done.
You're not looking to make a profit, which is a good thing, and you're not looking to bodge it in a weekend which is even better. Grab it, fix it, enjoy it... and if you get stuck on any of the fix it points then the internet, this forum, Mini clubs and the mahoosive amount of support out there for the Mini are on your side.

you can stick a manual in an auto subframe, just takes a couple of spaces, flog the auto to a trike owner, usually make ÂŁ200-ish.

That actually looks a very good shell in mini terms, Gone in the usual places but panels are ready available. The floor looks really good I have had worse on the road. With the front end already done if the price is right I would snap it up The thing with mini's is a lot would look worse than that under the bodykit and filler lol

No way, theres far too much there for you to be able to do. Best of letting someone else take it for beer money, I volunteer myself to take it off your mates hands for a couple of crates of said beverages! get it got!

Regarding the prices Minis command nowadays; it's very well worth the effort! I've seen far worse... If I was on your side of the channel; I'd take that without thinking much about it... After all, repair panels for Minis are not overly expensive...

After all, repair panels for Minis are not overly expensive... Ain't that the truth - a quick scoot online proves this to be the case - there are rear quarters going for less than a Domino's pizza! Right, mojo sufficiently boosted - thanks fellas, will get on to my 'mate with a flatbed' and rescue it ASAP...
