Afternoon all,
Okay, could be seen as a bit of a daft question but here goes. Have a tyre in the garage that I expect I could sell on ebay reasonably easy. I’ve never posted a tyre before though, so how do you guys do it? Other than driving said tyre to Post Office, pay man at counter etc?!!
Do you wrap it or just stick a label on it? Would you even box it, wrapped in cardboard etc? What's the cheapest way you've found?
Any help much appreciated. For info, tyre is a 185/55/13 so far from massive.

parcel2go.co.uk (about £8) they take paypal so no messing about when you get payment for tyre you can book collection. A bit of packing tape to stick label on tyre, job done.

I always just wrap in clingfilm, I've sent 4 tyres in one go like this. Bit of parcel tape around for extra support. www.interparcel.com and parcel monkey is normally the cheapest for me.

I used to put them in a bin bag, tape up, with the address on, then get courier to pick up!

Yep I usually use City Link through Parcels2go (City Link as they don't require you to print there label). Depending on how many tyres your sending it might be cheaper to send them individually, I recently for set of 5 individually wrapped 17" wheels collected for £32, if they had been strapped together in one box it would have cost £84 as it would be too heavy for one person to lift. With tyres I'd wouldn't bother with boxing them, parcels tape the label on and job done!
