Browsing autoshite one night when I noticed this for sale in the darkest depths of Cornwall for scrap value. It had been bought by a banger racer who then decided it was too rare to race and left it in a shed for a year or so. Naturally, the only sensible course of action was to immediately buy it. I present to you the 1983 Zastava Yugo 313 It's currently not roadworthy and will need work. So far I've discovered it needs welding, a new master cylinder and the indicators don't work. I'm hoping to have it up and ready for the summer but progress may be slow as it will have to fit around the Bluebird and paydays. I have been contacted by the head of the Owner's Club (yes, there is one) who has informed me that it is the only 313 left in the UK! So, the plan is: 1) get the car - done 2) ? 3) MOT the car 4) Drive the car around LIKE A SIR 5) ? 6) Profit

Pretty certain it's the same one. Could do with getting hold of the previous owner since the car may still be in his name...

Fantastic find! I have never seen a 3 door Yugo 313 IRL. Hope you keep it fairly stock, those are rare cars nowadays! I like old cars from eastern Europe and have a 1975 Lada 2103 1500 myself.

I'm just trying to put into words my impression of just what that interior smells like. A mix of stale fags, mould and Gary Glitter's w*nk sock. Absolutely hideous, yet undeniably brilliant.

100% awesome. Great purchase and good luck with it. Only downside is, I think that picture of the interior alone has reintroduced smallpox to the world. I think Brian's guess at the smell would be pretty much bang on the money.

That is a truly turd-tastic interior!
Is the engine the same as a Fiat 127's?

No, engine is Fiat SOHC. Only Yugo 45 had OHV engine, everything else that Zastava produce had Fiat SOHC based engine made by DMB Serbia.

Well I can give a bit of an update....... Not a lot has happened so far as he is waiting on welding quotes (2 complete new sills) but ideas have been flowing! I suggested that removing the well and truely crusty bumpers, lows and some minilights would give it a cool racey look, simular to fiats and Yugo of the period! There are some cool looking vents hidden behind that bumper! He's been concentrating on his Bluebird at the moment but I have been trying to getting thinking about getting this done! I think it will be sooooo cool with some tidying and a few of the "usual" basic mods

I was gonna say, when i drove past on Saturday the Yugo was sat in the same place as it was back in January, but the Bluebird had its N/S/R door masked up & some primer was being applied!
