love both of those. had a silver one many moons ago-cracking cars!

|
I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

Did the red car come from Coalville? There was one down the road (a TT in red) a few months ago but I'm sure it had different wheels.

The XR4ti was sold in the US and Canada only and was a 2.3L 4 cylinder turbo car using the 'Lima/Pinto' engine, the XR4i was normally aspirated 2.8L V6 using the 'Cologne' engine. Also, there were other small safety differences specific to the US market but otherwise the cars are the same.
The XR4ti has a ton of potential and there's still a lot of aftermarket support for the engines over here as the Lima engine was also available in several other US Ford cars.
The 1st iteration of the Sierra Cosworth was based on the XR4ti and Andy Rouse used a modified XR4ti in 1985 to terrorize the German cars and win the BTTC before the Cosworth was released.

I've always wanted an XR4 since I was a kid! If you don't mind me asking how much do these go for in that sort of condition? Serioulsly tempted to start looking for one after seeing this!
