Mickey Thompson, BF Goodrich and the like do tyres up to 18" wide on a 15" rim. ...not forgetting Hoosier (nom) I plumped for the Mickey T's in the end...as you can see, the chicks dig them!  |

They're centerlock/peg drive so no PCD. I'd be wary of them, probably high magnesium content so unless they've been stored properly could have degraded substantially in 40 years.

When I was growing up, in about 1982, someone across the road had a black mk1 Capri with something like this on the rear. The back end was jacked up about 2 foot and had red wheels that must've been at least 15" wide. Looked IMMENSE even for a 5 year old.

Calling Kev, Kev to the front desk please. cheers will ;D sadly, like so many MEGA WIDE old race wheels they have super backspacing, and not so much of the required dish - and as matt says, the old mags are very prone to corrosion the 14x12 steels that I picked up at the jumble of jamesP illicited the 'carlos fandango' comment several times over the course of the day |

Kind of like "simples" its something that entered the lexicon from advertising back in the 1970s.
Back then it was common for any car tuning or styling product to have the name of some racing driver attached as branding. Carlos Fandango was a made up one as most racing drivers had/have names like that
