ripped off from another forum, not one of my spots. Hmmm nice Avenger, whats with that bonnet scoop though? yeah, thats got it going on. Hang on I didn;t think Avengers had 5 lug hubs? They don't normally come with a 5.2 litre Mopar V8 either. Momma! and its a manual. So should be rather lively.

I love the shape of avengers. Can't decide if I like that shape or the later Chrysler shape best though. And why do the wings never fit properly? Is there a load of shonky ones around made in Uzbekistan or something?

You do realise they're British Mr_Bo11ox. It's mandatory that the wings don't fit.
My old 78 Avenger wasn't as cool as these type, much prefer the Alpine though for Quad lamp goodness.
Nice engine to put in a little car though.. bet it would be a blast to drive or.. pilot as the case may be.

Splendid in every possible way Early Avengers are the d.bizzle in my book.... much more obscure and cooler than a ford. V8 avenger must be the ultimate WIN. Love it!!!!

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I love Avengers! Particularly the "hockeystick" rear lights. I don't think I've seen one in ages. I'm a bit confused as to where that silver ducting is leading, as the carb is on top. If it were mine I think I'd lower it. But then again if it were mine it'd still be in a thousand bits waiting for me to pull my finger out ;D Bootiful

Very nice! I'd love a 2 Door one. As already said much better than a Escort, usually cheaper as well.

Even with those wheels it's still a sleeper in my book! Superb!
My though with teh ducting is to try and get cooler air flowing over the exhausts to try and keep the 'bay cool?

I bet its freakin awesome to drive and sounds GREAT. I love the wheels. I must say though if it was mine i'd take all the doors and wings off and try to put them back on straighter as the panel gaps let it down bad IMWO.

hi I'm a newbie to the forum have recently spotted the picture of my engine on google images and had to investigate as to why so firstly id like to say thanks for all the positve comments on my motor i built this and got it on the road in 06 the pictures you see were of its second journey out to show it to the mma mopar magazine editor in my home town of scunthorpe ,as its first journey to and from the testing station was a disaster, fuel leaks and overheating hence the bonnet scoop and silver ducting, in 07 i had it featured in ppc magazine after id changed some of its problems , yeah i agree the wings are a s**t fit but with 350ish lbfts of torque twisting it about there never gonna be good fit , i could lower the back a tad but left it high so when i acellerate which it does really well it squats level. i origionally built it to go drag racing but family life came along in 06 too so we never got there .it does 0-60 in around 5 secs and tops out at 115mph , then for the next few years i used it on the road and now its off the road due to low income and extortionate fuel prices , but ive always got my turbod daily avenger estate which is the best of both worlds quick and cheap. cheers rich
