For a single wiper conversion on another car (old twin wiper died and I don't want to used a valuable spare on the car)
So puchased a Citoen AX wiper assembly inc wiring plug plug with a length of the loom and now I find I need some help/info re wiring
What is it with the French?? One yellow wire and four grey ones.......
All I'd like is two speeds (not bothered about intermittant unless it's easy) and I don't care much where it parks ;D

I'd guess that the 4 grey wires weren't grey when they started life.
Dismantle it and see what's connected to what.

All the power comes from the relay - it parks the wiper, so you may have problems with it doing a full 'wipe-park' cycle. Here's a wiring schematic: From looking at that, connect the yellow to ground, I suspect one grey is green and the rest are different speeds (intermittent, 1 and 2).

If I get a chance before I scrap it, did you want me to chop the relay, plug and a bit of wiring out of my ax?

I was only planning on having a minimum of 2 switches speeds and runing them off a two position rocker switch on whats left of the dash I'll cover any postage and packaging costs of course

Ha ha - I've had a really close look at all the grey wires and one has a tiny flash of green on it right next to the plug Thanks for the wiring diagram too - I'll get my head round that

Thanks ax16vts.
I have a 5 wire connector with the motor. Can you tell me how many speed does it come with? My set up(switch) has 3 setting as follows. inter mitten, slow and high speed. It should come on when you use screen wash as well.
Thanks Atchi

Thanks, Atchi Hi, sorry can't help but if I was guessing 1 would be "park" and other may be doubled-up with something else (2 earths? "pass-though" for the main feed?) I just posted to offer my sympathies! ( had an AX, but also had a 'mare trying to trace a voltage loss on a Zantia - sure the whole harness only used 2 colours) Happy times...
