That Niva is shockingly new looking. I like the surprised face that Nivas have.

Its apparently an early one. I had no idea there was a difference. Its sickeningly clean throughout.

Its apparently an early one. I had no idea there was a difference. Its sickeningly clean throughout. Bloody hell, that's clean! According to DVLA it was first registered in Aug '88 so should be on a UK E-plate. Most of the Nivas sold around then were the slightly more upmarket (relatively speaking) Cossack model (15" alloys, cloth trim, sunroof, bull-bar, sidestripes, 4-spoke Mountney steering wheel with padded centre). AFAIK official UK imports ran from 1986-1997 although they were available in LHD and converted RHD form from 1979 onwards. Converted ones are easy to spot as they have a four-speed gearbox rather than five. I had a '79 converted RHD four-speeder (FAC371T) that was great fun to drive, I swapped it for an acoustic guitar in 1993 that I still own! ;D

Cracking Niva there! I thought that the tinworm had claimed them all! It looked like a good meet from the pics. The man flu stopped me in the my tracks of going to the meet (or outside the house ).

That was kicking about in the lovely suburb of Netherfield the other night and looks absolutely perfect... although I couldn't get a decent look.
