very very cool indeed, Is that front bumper a flipped over one from something else (the recess for the number plate normal point to the ground don't they? ) If so that is an awesome touch making it look so mean and scoop like at the front ;D

It has been posted a few times, never seen these pics before, and it's well worth another look ;D Reverse-flow Ford V8 from an Indy car (I think?), with a whacking great turbo ;D I love it; it's pure sillouhette-racer, except the sillouhette's been changed as well ;D Here's the Popular Hotrodding article that's been posted a few times. (EDIT: Apologies for the grinning smiley-face overload in this post ;D ;D ;D ;D)

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

As I'd suspected oh well, worth another look as to be fair it's friggin awesome! Reverse-flow Ford V8 from an Indy car (I think?), with a whacking great turbo ;D Yeah the engine is definitely the icing on the cake, looks stunning with the exhaust manifold in the middle of the V feeding that huge turbo

Looked a bit further in to this and it seems that three of them were built by Holman Moody in 1962 with a view to limited production. They were to by known as the Ford Falcon Challenger and featured a 260 cu in small block V8. This was probably quite hot for the time as the standard lump was a 144 cu in six. They were channeled and chopped and it is said that the fastback was either cut from or copied from a '50 Chevy. Holman Moody were all about racing, so it is no surprise that Falcon Challengers ran at Sebring, Nassau and LeMans in 1962. I'm not sure if they were all fastbacks, but the Nassau dockside pic confirms that at least one of the three was raced. Love the whitewalls! Apparently all three survived and were owned by the same collector. Presumably he was responsible for this one. If they were mine, I'd have put them back into something like period condition. I suppose the four cam could be considered legitimate as it first ran in a Lotus 34 at Indy in 1964. Hot Rod Magazine featured a Mustang fitted with this engine some time in the 60's, (with lovely up and over fenderwell headers I remember) but the turbo is not to my taste.

So not what I expected when clicking this thread ;D Awesome!
And reverse flowed V8 - coolest thing ever! Well, for exhaust-manifold fetishists anyway ;D
