Interesting but I wonder if it is legal? the listing doesn't mention it having had a BIVA inspection - would have thought it would be major plus point in a listing if it had

I will get round to finishing it at some point

For the rest of you have a random pic to make up for my moan:

Quite simply, someone may be thinking about buying it, and no-one wants them to enter a world of pain and expense if the vehicle hasn't already been tested? For one, it won't pass a BIVA with Lexan windows in it, so there's additional expense straight away, let alone the cost of the test itself.

So, lets out all the cars on this forum and the many other forums that are technically illegal then - where will that get us? Oh yeah an empty forum where everybody is too scared to post pics of their cars.

The BIVA test is there for a reason, and it's already been demonstrated that it's still possible to build cool cars whilst conforming to the rules. The more people circumnavigate them, and try to slip under the radar, the tighter the rules will become. It's people flouting the rules that will kill the hobby.

6? I could easily find 60 - but that would be contrary to the point I'm trying to make. Guess we just have to agree to differ

I don't trawl eBay as I cannot afford toys at the moment and I find window shopping is depressing if you really want something but cannot have it Have a picture of a car from my past that was probably technically illegally modified (the firewall was modified to retro fit air-con)

Not really a fan of how that looks, as some one else mentioned it would probably suit a mk2 coupe better but each to their own
