Just been over on PPC Forum (sorry, I know!) and they have a HUGE thread about the upcoming Universal Salvage Auction with loads of pics....problem is the Moot who took them uploaded the lot to photobucket without resizing, so if you have 56K, go and cook a three-course meal, eat it and wash up while you download! www.practicalperformancecar.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2107Just a taster......

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

wow.... i LOVE salvage yards, even boring ones like my local breakers. i sometimes pick a car from their website, go and ask to look at it, then just wander around for hours there's some really nice stuff in there, then there's stuff that's obviously got a story to tell: Oooh dear sir, did we upset the good lady? lipstick on your collar was it?

to be fair it could be the owners car or a respective customer, as i don't see any of the usual marker writing on the the front screen.

That looks suspiciously like my mates old Pontiac Starchief!
I'd put money on it in fact.
It was a godawful "bathroom" green when he bought it so he resprayed it red oxide, slammed it and smoked round in it. Sold it on eBay maybe 2 years ago. Looks well fooked now. Mind you it was pretty well fooked when he had it, it just looked better.

Love the Datsun 1200 BTW, how rare are they now? A mates dad had one just like that when we were kids, same colour etc. Lovely.

Top grammar tips! Bought = purchased. Brought = relocated Lose = misplace/opposite of win. Loose = your mum

I had one years ago, really cute little car. Possibility that this one is tax exempt, haven’t checked the listing to see if they state this.

It had moonshine/ weller style chrome wheels on it. Sad end to it though.

It was on stock rims when Jeff had it. I went to look at it for sale before he bought it, was too much work for me. Bloke who had it was into jukeboxes, made place out in the country. He also had a sweet 57ish Mercury station wagon. The Pontiac might have had chrome smoothies without the hubcaps on as I recall when Jeff had it. I think I might have seen a pic of it in an event report somewhere with chrome wellers on it? I really don;t recall.
I saw a '59 Impala which was restored from a burnout like that but I think it was a better body to start with. Replacing the broken glass will cost you a couple of grand before you start!
