Due to storage issues have got to sell this (but mainly the wife moaning)
Bought it to do up as it has a gearbox issue, but then another vehicle that I have been after appeared, so bought that as well.
So the garden now has a Saab shaped ornament in it, that the wife wants shifted.
Its a '97 9000 Anniversary 2.0 Turbo Auto, but its also been chipped to stage 1>2'ish, and I believe gives it around 225bhp. (not as much as a chipped Aero, but still ample)
Mileage 134,000 and MOT 17/01/2012
There is no rust on the car (especially on the archs), and the car is in very good nick, with all the electrics working including the air con.
However the Auto gearbox is on the way out and will need to be repaired, but probably quicker to swap with a good replacement. (That was my intention)
The "issue" occurs when the car changes between 1st and 2nd, there is a whining noise during the change, but once in gear its fine. Likewise all other gears (and changes are fine). If you are giving it the beans the whine lasts longer while the car changes gear. Also once the gearbox has warmed up, it does not want to change out of first. I've got round this by selecting 1 (instead of D) and then selecting 2. Its then changed up, but I don't know how long that will continue to work.
It needs sorting but the car is still usable in its current condition. I've been driving it to and from work (30 mins each way) and the other than the whine on gear change there have been no issues.
Just looking for scrap value for it, but hoping someone will buy to fix up rather than break for parts, but your choice.
The front electric leather seats are in really good nick.
Car is only taxed to the end of the month as I will be redeeming it after that. (Tax can be included prior to this at cost if required)
Only other issues are that the CD Changer cassette is missing and the DVLA have not sent me the V5 yet. (Duplicate being issued)

Edit:
Just remembered from looking at the pictures that one of the ABS sensors is playing up as the warning has come up on the display.
