I'm fairly sure that only the X300 Daimler was available with picnic tables - I have never seen a Jaguar X300 with them (except USA spec, of course - they don't get the Daimler!) David My knowledge extends to "I've seen them fitted to a Jag on eBay". They may indeed have been retrofitted in just the way I plan to. Of course, if I CAN find a Daimler in my sort of price range, then I will, but actually, for it to be everyday useable, I should focus on finding one with LPG.

There needs to be a support group for people like us. I often want to give my Series 3 a good kicking, but then I'd have to fix it more.. The greasy widowers of British Leyland.

As a direct result of this thread, I've bought the mint X300 4.0 sport linked above. The search will now commence for an affordable LPG kit, and for seat backs with the picnic tables.....

Just learned on Jaguar World that the seat backs on the Daimlers are scooped to allow the picnic tables, so I'd have to replace the entire seat units...
