got a nirve cannibal chopper type bike in to paint so used it a a good time to strip my kona blast bike down and give it a new lease of life at the same time .
I did have some pics of my kona when i got it but can't seem to find them on the computer so here's a library pic of what it would have looked like when new
and the nirve cannibal when its complete
started by stripping the bikes and basing them in a bright silver
I'll go through the kona first then the nirve
once based in the silver i gave the frame and forks a couple of coats of yellow candy base
once based in the yellow candy i added the masks for the graphics and whent over the bike frame with a couple of coats of graphite grey and then removed the first section of the mask
next was some candy apple red base over the yellow of the forks and graphite grey front half of the frame
this was followed by fading in some purple candy on the rear of the graphite grey on the frame
i then removed the rest of the masks and gave the whole frame and forks 3 good coats of HS scratch resistant clear
more on this one when i start putting it back together
now on to the nirve was asked a while ago if i could do a custom paint on it in a similar colour to the van and ive had the frame and guards sat in the workshop since . anyway i based it in silver at the same time as the kona but this one was to be done i a totally different way, much more basic but a lot more time consuming . over the silver base i gave it a couple of coats of HOK shimerin Kopper base
followed by a lot of masking and air brushing then one coat of yellow candy base and 3 coats of HS scratch resistant clear with a small hint of orange candy added
