1988 Austin Maestro 1.3 stolen from outside a friends house last night in Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes. Really patchy silver paint and generally a bit rough looking. Don't have any pictures of it.
Has been reported to the police but if anyone local see's anything let me know!

FFS, this is happening a little too often in MK. We had all our drain covers pinched last week at the back of my works place, traveller vans patrolling the place throughout the day rooting through the skips looking for steel etc.........Not putting your man's Maestro down but probably pinched to be squashed rather than broken/resold,I take it he's called the local yards (?)

get round all the scrap metal and scrap car yards, Look for it OR signs of it.. If it went in there and you can proove it. GET PHOTOS OF IT. and phone the cops there and then. The scrap dealer should have a record of the person that brought it in, And if its a decent yard it should have a reg number of the truck it came in on.
Although if it was a decent yard it wouldnt have accepted a hooky car.
Thats partly what bothers me about this, Its all well and good blaming the travellers... (bastards) But these dodgy scrap dealers MUST be everywhere!!!

It's turned up! Got stumbled across by a patrol car accidentally last night. Had been dumped, door lock and ignition are fubar but the rest sounds to be ok.
Yards were going to be the next thing to check. Who knows if it was travellers or just the run of the mill joy riding car thief scum. I'll be making some mods to mine so it can't get pinched so easily with all this happening in Milton Keynes...
Cheers guys.

Good news, and not too much damage! Sounds like joyriders to me. Old cars are targets these days.

Agree about older cars being nicked. Almost once a month someone tries to steal the panda, the door has been bent down so many times its going to break off in their hands soon
