Thought I would start a thread for this. I've had it around 3 months now, purchased from this forum after a fair bit of loitering looking for something.
The car in question is a 1984 B reg Mercedes 190E Auto, 75k miles on the clock and in very good condition for its year to be honest. I paid the grand total of £620 for it. Unfortunately its not a daily driver; I have 2010 '10' Seat Ibiza for that, however I must say I do prefer driving this and have strongly considered selling the Ibiza to get an older Merc to run around in daily!
Haven't really done much to the car to be fair since I got it, aside from MOT it, which it flew through no problems.
Initial plans are to sort the mechanical niggles with it, give it a good service and then remove the rear spoiler for a colour coded item. After that I want to remove the chrome arches as I think they look tacky, and then replace the large badge front grille with an identical item due to the current one being damaged. Its also got a stupid ignition setup currently fitted to it (hence the dangling interior wires) so that needs to be removed also.
Once I've done them, I will be carrying out some other upgrades as and when I get chance.
So, for the pictures:
And it with my current daily, the Ibiza, and my previous daily, Vauxhall Omega 2.5 V6. Still maintain the 190E is the best of the bunch...
