1979 PONTIAC FIREBIRD FORMULA.
This car was a one owner from new car when I bought it in the USA. I have paid all the Import duties and taxes and I have the documentation, I also have the old US Title. This beautiful Firebird has been resting in a garage in California for about 20 years which would explain why it has only 28,500 miles on it!! This car is a great example of a second generation F-body Firebird, and as it is a Formula, it is the most rare of all the Firebirds. This car runs and drives starts with ease, stops with good brakes, and good tyres. The engine is very strong and has no oil or water leaks, no rust and runs sweet just as it should do. The transmission is the same, it’s an automatic and doesn’t leak and runs strong and shifts through the gears effortlessly and smoothly. Everything works excellently on this car, and it drives absolutely superbly, almost like a new car, but with a brilliant V8 muscle car rumble!! This car is a real head turner, and at a recent show that I took it to it had a small crowd around it all day. This Firebird is in great condition for it's age, probably due to the fact that it’s spent the last 20 years tucked up in a garage in the dry, and warm climate of sunny California, and as such it is structurally very sound, and underneath shows no sign of corrosion and looks to be good and solid. The bodywork is also in good shape, actually, I think the bodywork is in great shape, the paintwork is Red. The body is smooth and straight and there are no dents on the bodywork, it’s probably smooth and straight enough to paint black!! But it does have a small blemish on one of the rear wings, I’d say that something was resting on it while it was in storage in the previous owners garage. Also there is a couple of tiny cracks on the front bumper, nothing serious, infact you can hardly see them, again, I’d say it was something resting on it whilst it was slumbering in the previous owners garage. Neither of these things will spoil your enjoyment of this car! The interior is white vinyl and the seats etc are in fairly good shape with the exception of the drivers seat that does have a split in it, and also a hole unfortunately, however that is to be expected with a car of this age. The dashboard is black, and also has a small crack in it, which to be honest you won’t notice when you’re driving it. I am looking for about £5,500 for it or nearest offer. This is a fantastic classic ‘70s Firebird to use, cruise, and maybe improve. Please feel free to ask questions, or come and have a look at it. I really don't want to have to re-list this on ebay again just to get curse word around again by idiots who bid on it then don't respond to emails or get in contact with me!!! If you are interested please send me a PM and i'll send you a link to some photos i've taken of the Firebird.
