Hey chaps
I need to free up some space and some cash by selling my fiesta aka THE FLYING TURD.
First off, this is a very very early mk2 fiesta believed to be built in '83
I bought this in November with a genuine 33k on the clock and two former keepers.
It's got mot until November but no tax
She drives absolutely spot on and starts first turn of the key in all weathers.
The service history with this car is quite frankly ridiculous. Every 4-500 miles it was serviced and as such the service book is full all the way to the back cover. I changed the oil and filter just short of 4k ago.
Waxoyled from new
I do an awfull lot of miles town driving and it never fails to give me any less than 35mpg in town and 45mpg on the motorway.
It may only be 957cc but it flies and leaves SWMBO's 206 for dead. It'll sit all day at 75 and tops out at 88 on the flat.
I had some plans for this car mainly involving a zetec swap but that won't happen now.
Everything works as it should on the car and the heaters blow nice and warm.
It uses no oil or water and despite being a cliche, I honestly would drive it anywhere.
The interior is lovely and basic, seats are comfy but there is a slight tear on the drivers 4cm long.
There's a very small spot of rust on the scuttle and a little in the front valance. The drivers door has had a small knock on the leading edge on a gatepost or similar.
No knocks bangs or rattles.
Has really done me proud and will be a shame to see it go to be honest.
Have some pics:
(please note, it's proper filthy in these pics and looks different alltogether after a wash)
If this ad sounds familiar it's because it was for sale in feb but was pinched the night I advertised it.
I got it back from the insurance company 5 weeks ago as they wouldn't give me yhe price I wanted so I cancelled the claim.
My intention. Was to have this ready for the gathering and I nearly did.
Paint all polished
New tyres and alleycats fitted
Bumpers repaired and painted
Exhaust system replaced
Springs cut 2 coils
New german style plates
I went to tax it but couldn't. My insurance company had recorded it CAT C so it will need a VIC check.
I've applied for this and just have to set a date and pay the £41 and drive to a vosa station.
You can take the car with VIC done for £850 or save me the effort and take it for £750.
I have a brand new twin pipe downpipe and gasket to go with the car (slight blow from current old downpipe)
I've fixed the ignition wiring but still want to fit a hidden starter switch.
Bottom steering column cowling missing.
No damage to locks or doors.
If I get the full asking price I'll throw in a 1800 zetec with the correct sump, oil pickup and water pump.
Recent pics
I'll take some fresh pics tomorow showing the painted bumpers.
Located in Grimsby.
Thanks
Ross
