I have owned this car for approximately four years and it’s a bit of a ‘wrench’ to be selling it. Essentially I just fancy a different project for a change.
The car is in very good condition and requires no work. I don’t really think it’ll ever be a concours winner though. The body is very tidy and solid. A really close inspection will reveal a few tiny blemishes - the odd tiny scratch here and there and a couple of touched in stonechips.
The interior is in good condition with no major flaws other than age related wear to the front seats. The driver’s seat has a small nick/wear patch on the side bolster and there are a few other little marks.
The bumpers are in good condition with no rot to the rear corners that can often be found on these cars. The chrome around the windows is good from a few feet away but does have some scratches.
The car is leak-free thanks to new seals (there used to be a drip from the front screen before it was replaced) and it always starts first time and runs very well. The steering is as good as a W123 ever gets and the brakes are also good.
I have also have an extensive photo record of this car which shows that the car has been extensively Waxoyled in the past - I have re-treated the Waxoyl subsequently.
The most recent service was a major one with brakes, oil, coolant, transmission filter and fluid, ignition leads, plugs, distributor cap and arm all being attended to.
All MOT certificates present
Service history present 1 full book and a supplementary book.
All receipts present except for first five years when the car was in company ownership - presume receipts kept for accounting purposes.
Other work carried out in my ownership;
New fuel pump and filter Sept 2010
New radiator, water pump, thermostat. 2010
New windscreen seal Nov 2010
New side window seals 2008
Electric remote central locking with indicator flash
Bottom ball joints 2009
Waxoyl re-applied 2009 / 2011
Rear brake discs 2008
Front brake discs Jan 2010
New rear screen seal Aug 2011
Other bits
Front seat locks fully functioning - a common failure and MOT fail
Car has been painted in the past (1994) due to paint fade according to a previous owner - receipt from Mercedes Benz bodyshop for this work.
HPI check from a few years ago.
Leather is a little tired with some rubbing on drivers bolster.
Comes with some spare parts if the right price is agreed - rear screen, mirrors, grille, seatbelts and a few other bits.
Much of the work has been carried out by Mantasport of this 'ere parish. Project thread is here - retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=57318&page=1

I realise that this may not be quite the thing for RRer's because it's not modified or in need of work but I thought I'd pop it on here anyway.
PM me if you want to make an offer - even a daft one.
Cheers
