Whilst on holiday this year we picked up this Folding bike.
It was my Wifes colleague bike when she was a girl, Its a Vindec Folding 3 speed shopper with 20" wheels.
It needed some new inner tubes and tyres which we got for £21 delivered.
I initially stripped it down and gave it a closer insection and clean, it seems to have had very little use and showed little to no wear but the paintwork was knocked about and the chrome was suffering from 20 years or more storage in a damp shed.
After cleaning
After some polish and scrubbing it came up pretty good, but it was still let down by the scruffy paint and crappy decals. I decided to paint it with some rattle cans I had, I put on some lacquer and its looks kind of ok, one or two runs but nowhere too noticeable.
My Neighbour likes it ;D
I like it, it has a 1980s street bmx feel about it.
The best thing is it folds up neatly and fits behind the passenger seat. I wouldn't mind bending the seat post back a bit.
